The issues of developing the digital environment of a modem university have become relevant in recent years. If at first these were tasks related to the technological aspects of the problem, today there are more and more acute questions related to comprehending the accumulated experience, co-tuning the elements of the environment and identifying its non-obvious edge. The article deals with the issues of designing a modern digital environment of a modem university, its possibilities in organizing the educational process, as well as non-formal educational events. The potential of the digital environment of the university in the development of the personification of the educational process is also described. In addition, the problems of developing the digital environment of the university and options for their solution are formulated
