The paper considers and analyzes the approaches of leading scientists to the definition of the essence and content of "pedagogical technology", "learning technology", "educational technology". The tasks of effective technological support of modern education on recreational physical culture are defined, modern strategies and factors influencing the results of the applied technologies are analyzed. The requirements and functions of technology are characterized. The specificity of technologies used in the sphere of education is revealed, the main components of the technology design model of physical education and recreational activities are established
