Kettlebell sport is becoming increasingly popular among different segments of the population and people of different ages. This is due to the simplicity, accessibility of this sport and its high efficiency of application in different fields of activity. The growing interest in kettlebell sport contributes to the expansion of the range of scientific interests of leading specialists in this sport and the increase in the number of scientific studies. A large number of studies to date is characterized by insufficient systematization of information resource. This determined the relevance of the present study, the purpose of which is to summarize the results of theoretical research of domestic scientists on various aspects of kettlebell sport development. The present article attempts to highlight the main scientific directions of domestic research in the field of theory and methodology of kettlebell sport, their systematization and generalization. Five logical groups in the cluster covering researches in kettlebell lifting are established: general questions of theory and methodology of kettlebell lifting; structure and organization of training process; methodology of athletes' training; medical and biological aspects of athletes' training; psychological aspects of athletes' training
