STATE OF SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL SUPPORT FOR THE TRAINING OF NATIONAL TEAMS IN MARTIAL ARTS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The article presents a comparative assessment of the systems of scientific and methodological support for martial arts: Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, judo, taekwondo (Olympic sports) and Thai boxing (non-Olympic sport). As a standard, the parameters of the model of a complex scientific group on combat sports of the Soviet period were used: specificity, complexity and volume of the control system, as well as characteristics of the scientific and methodological sections. All the research groups studied are striving for the implementation of the “soviet-period CSG model”. They focus on the relevant areas, programs and scope of work, but use modem technologies. Each type of martial arts uses its own set, ratio and volume of research. This complex is determined by the head coaches, who form the needs of the teams in scientific and methodological support. All scientific and methodological programs were characterized by the obligatory presence of a specialized control unit for each sport (tests, protocols, etc.). However, the required set of works is still being implemented in insufficient volume from the demand in practice. In accordance with the current regulatory framework, the scientific and methodological support of Thai boxing is not supported from the federal budget and fewer events are held there than in the Olympic martial arts. The analysis carried out over the last three Olympic cycles did not reveal any completed federal research work in combat sports. This imposes restrictions on the development of the technological base for training in martial arts. The paper analyzes the universal model of scientific and methodological support for all sports, currently proposed as a replacement for the “CSG model”, the “model of the analytical center / scientific and methodological management of the STC”. Unfortunately, this model does not contain a specialized testing unit for martial arts. In this regard, the proposed surveys are low-informative and time-consuming, and the system itself is of little demand in the training of combatants
