The relevance is determined by the need to modernize the content of practical training of master's students in physical education and sports fields in the context of implementing the requirements of professional standards and the demands of the modern labor market. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the organization of master's students' practical training in which research activity is organically integrated with the tasks of the internship bases. Research methods and organization. Methods of studying and synthesizing pedagogical experience, pedagogical observation, analysis of master's students' activities, questionnaires, and methods of mathematical statistics were used. A synthesis of experience in organizing internships at physical education universities was performed; manifestations of research activity were recorded and master's students' activities were analyzed; and coaches were surveyed. Research results and conclusions. Key organizational solutions were identified: the selection of a research topic relevant and pertinent to the internship base; the provision of systematic scientific and methodological support; and preliminary training of mentors. It was experimentally shown that such organization increases master's students' motivation, the quality of research projects, and the satisfaction of the internship base.
