Abstract:
The article presents the results of a study of the level of functional mobility of elderly people leading a sedentary lifestyle. The study involved 30 subjects who were engaged in Nordic walking and a set of coordination exercises. The assessment of the subjects was carried out using the Timed Up and Go functional mobility assessment test (TUG). It was found that Nordic walking and a set of coordination exercises have a positive effect on the level of functional mobility of the elderly and reduce the risk of falling. The greatest increase in the indicators for the TUG test was shown by the subjects of the experimental group, the increase was 4.0 seconds
