EVALUATION OF THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM ACTIVITY IN THE 2000 METERS RUN IN YOUNG WOMEN UNTRAINED IN RUNNING
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The objective of this study was an evaluation the features of the cardiovascular system (CVS) activity during the 2000 meters run in young women untrained in running. 16 female university students not practiced in running performed a standard warm-up and 2000 meters run, during which, maximum (HRmax) and average (HRav) heart rate were determined. It was found that in all groups of women identified using cluster analysis according to the intensity of the CVS activity, the heart rate exceeded 89% of the maximum allowable heart rate (MHR) calculated by the formula "220 - age". In seven subjects the heart rate during testing exceeded the MHR value (from 5.6 to 41.1% of the running time). In selected groups of subjects with different intensity of CVS activity no significant differences were found in the maximum oxygen consumption
