The investigation devoted to study and analysis of the effects of the using of Rapid Weight Loss (RWL) in elite combat athletes. Combat athletes (n=32) provided data on findings of the using of RWL during the year of competition performances. It was revealed that the majority of athletes (81%) successfully using RWL to perform in a comfortable weight category. About 56% of combat athletes declared the achievement of the planned competition success after using of RWL. The RWL allows athletes to quickly reduce their body weight by 6-9% and perform in a comfortable weight category for themselves
