The modern socio-economic and military-political situation in the world actualizes the search for ways to update the main directions of development of the military education system in Russia. The success of this process largely depends on the level of professional skill of a military university teacher, which is determined by the formation of a complex of personal and military-professional qualities. In this regard, the scientific interest presents innovative approaches to the organization of the development of professional skills of the teacher. One of such approaches is the development of a system of pedagogical support for this process.The purpose of the study is to scientifically substantiate and experimentally verify the author's system of pedagogical support for the development of professional skills of a military university teacher. The novelty of the research consists in the development of theoretical foundations and the disclosure of the content of design activities to create a system of pedagogical support for the development of professional skills of a teacher in a military university. The results of the study can be applied in the activities of military universities to improve the professionalism of scientific and pedagogical personnel
