The article is devoted to the problem of improving the health of student youth, as well as to analyzing the results of the redistribution of students into medical groups for physical education. In modern conditions, students, as future specialists, must have high professional qualifications, be physically healthy, resilient, have good performance and intellectually highly developed. Studying the health of preparatory group students is one of the important components in organizing physical education classes in universities. These students are practically healthy people, but have low physical fitness and are lagging behind their peers in physical development, therefore a differentiated and individual approach to the physical education of this contingent of students is necessary
