The paper characterizes the cognitive processes of “digital generation” students: attention is characterized by a decreased duration of concentration; perception is dominated by visual images and short abrupt stimuli; image memory comes to the fore instead of verbal-logical memory; thinking is clip-like, fragmented, and is opposed to conceptual thinking. These changes require the search for new forms, methods, and means to upgrade teaching
