When performing a wrist shot in ice hockey, there is little time for the opponent to block the shot, and for the goaltender to react and catch the puck. However, in order to give the puck maximum speed, an explosive rotational movement of the hands in the phase of the final effort is necessary. The article assesses the effectiveness of the implementation of exercise complexes aimed at developing the strength of the hand muscles of hockey players as a factor in the success of a wrist throw. As a result of the study, the level of development of the strength of the muscles of the hand of the hockey players of the youth team for all test methods in the average group value increased by 31,6%. In turn, the level of technology development in terms of the wrist throw parameter of female hockey players in the group average value increased by 29,2%. The resulting empirical research materials can be used by various specialists in the field of women's hockey
