ABOUT THE CONCEPTS OF "RHYTHM", "TEMPO", "FREQUENCY OF MOVEMENTS", "SENSE OF RHYTHM"
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
Rhythm, tempo and frequency of movements are one of the main kinematic characteristics of the complexes of movements. At that time, especially at the 50th -60th years of the last century, they were actively studied by researches from the field of physical culture and sports. Currently, in spite of the fact that there are still a lot of unstudied and poorly studied theoretical and practical issues in this field, interest for them as for the objects of research has clearly decreased. At the presented article the concepts of rhythm, tempo and frequency of movements are considered as time and speed parameters of complexes of movements. The characteristics and distinctive features of each of them are given. The frequent use of these concepts, which does not correspond to their real content, is emphasized, especially with regard to the rhythm and tempo of movements. The rhythm of movements is highlighted as a basic phenomenon for the tempo and frequency of movements. The role of the optimal rhythm in the success of mastering complexes and individual parameters of movements is shown. The role of the sense of rhythm as the ability to differentiate, remember and reproduce the rhythm of movements (the ratio of time and pauses in the performance of individual movements) in the manifestation of agility in the process of performing physical exercises is emphasized
