The purpose of the study is to study the psychological state of medical students studying in the software and content support of professionally applied physical training, which takes into account their psychological status and features of future work. Methodology and organization of the study. The study used the analysis and generalization of literary sources, pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, pedagogical testing, and methods of mathematical statistics. The study was conducted on the basis of the Kazan State Medical University. In the control group, classes were conducted according to the work program of the discipline of health-improving orientation, developed by the profile department of the university, and in the experimental group, according to the author's software and content support of professionally applied physical training. To assess the effectiveness of the author's software and content support, at the beginning and at the end of the experiment, which lasted one year, testing was carried out according to the SAN methodology. The results of the study and their discussion. The increase in the studied indicators in the control group (KG) and the experimental group (EG) during the experiment period was: "Well-being" - KG - 4.77 points, EG - 5.26 points; "Activity" - kG - 4.55 points, EG - 5.18 points, "Mood" - KG - 4.87 points, EG - 5.23 points. Conclusions. According to the results of the experiment, after the introduction of the author's software and content into the educational process, the following increases in the studied indicators were determined: "Well-being" - KG - 1.92%, EG - 12.88%; "Activity" - KG - 1.10%, EG -13.85%, "Mood" - KG - 3.18%, EG - 14.19%. Thus, we can conclude that the software and content support developed by us in the context of the mental training of medical students studying in the specialty "Medical care" is effective
