READINESS OF MEDICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS FOR FUTURE PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Abstract:
The article examines the problem of developing the readiness of medical students for professional activities. Subject of study: the degree of formation of components in the structure of readiness. Research methods: analysis of scientific publications, method of analysis of documentary sources, questioning. Because of the study, the essential characteristics of the concepts of "readiness" and "readiness for professional activity" were revealed; it was proved that this phenomenon includes several interrelated blocks: value-motivational, operational, emotional-volitional, reflexive. It was revealed that readiness as a mental state. Ensuring the effectiveness of professional activity is more comparable with universal competencies. The understanding of the student's readiness from the standpoint of the competence-based approach is analyzed. The questionnaire has been developed for 6th year students of the specialty "Medicine", including coverage of all components in the structure of readiness for professional activity. The results of the survey showed the presence of a number of subjective and objective factors that impede the formation of sustainable readiness and further professionalization. In particular, the motivational and semantic attitudes of future doctors; insufficient formation of professionally important qualities and degree of volitional regulatory activity; ambivalent emotional attitude to the medical profession. The identified problems in the formation of sustainable readiness to conduct the professional activities of the doctor require further study and the creation of the system of socio-psychological support at different stages of professionalization. Scope of the results: educational process in the higher educational institution, psychological and pedagogical support of students to motivation for future professional activity
