Abstract:
The importance of local history activities in the educational process in educational institutions was noted by many experts. Traditional areas are geographical, historical, ecological, literary local history, but physical culture and sports local history has not yet received proper development. Research methods: the analysis of information sources, survey of physical education teachers; analysis of personal experience of physical culture and sports local history activities. Results of the study and their discussion. Physical education teachers understand the importance of organizing physical culture and sports local history activities with students, however, for a number of reasons, this activity is implemented on the case-by-case basis. Conclusion. The conducted studies showed the state of physical culture and sports local history activities in educational institutions, and also presented the author's ways to improve its quality
