The purpose of the study is to determine the effectiveness of independent physical education work utilizing aerobic exercise in enhancing the performance of students. Research methods and organization. Methods of analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical experiment, and mathematical statistics methods were employed. The developed methodology was tested in the educational process of first-year students in full-time study at the SUAI. Research results and conclusions. It has been experimentally proven that the organization of independent work in physical education using aerobic exercise increases students' performance. It has been noted that daily moderate-intensity aerobic exercise positively affects the functioning of the cardiorespiratory system, which is a primary indicator of physical performance, and helps to compensate for a lack of physical activity, as evidenced by the results of the study.
