Motivation for running activities among students of the Moscow aviation institute in autumn 2024 and its influence on the effectiveness of preparation for tests and examinations of the all-Russian complex "Ready for labor and defense"
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The purpose of the study is to optimize the educational process at the university by analyzing the dynamics of students' motivation for independent running training, including the completion of tests and trials of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex, as well as analyzing the effectiveness of completing educational assignments by female students. Research methods and organization. The methods of analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observation, content analysis, methods of mathematical statistics, and surveys in Google Forms were utilized. Students of MAI from the 1st to 3rd years were surveyed. Research results and conclusions. A trend has been identified indicating a decrease in students' interest in running compared to the same period of the 2023-2024 academic year, as well as low performance in independent running tests and trials among women. Only 42.3% of female students in the 1st to 3rd years complete all assignments. The results obtained indicate the necessity of paying special attention to motivating students to engage in running and acquiring the corresponding knowledge, skills, and competencies during their university education. The reasons for the negative trends in the decline of interest in running training and its quality deterioration in 2024 are associated with both changes in the market for running applications for mobile devices and insufficiently competent physical education teaching in schools and other secondary educational institutions.
