The purpose of the study is to assess the effectiveness of the process of forming professionally applied physical training and the dynamics of the development of its main components among students. The relevance of the topic is defined as the main task of higher education institutions: to prepare not only highly qualified specialists with deep knowledge who can position themselves in the modern labor market, but also physically developed specialists with self-education skills regarding their own health and motivational drive. Research methods and organization. The work utilized methods of theoretical research, surveys (questionnaires), and analysis of literary data. According to the methodology of A. V. Burikov (with co-authors), the total assessment of the performance of tests in general physical and professionally applied training was determined based on the average number of points scored in all tests. To determine the motivational component of personal learning, the methodology of A. A. Rean and V. A. Yakunin (modification by N. Ts. Badmaeva) was applied. Research results and conclusions. Scientific and methodological publications in the field of professionally applied physical culture are based on the principles of physical education and reveal important components of personality: motivational, cognitive, and activity-based. Despite the significance of physical culture in the professional training of students, there are issues related to the physical activity of future specialists. A comparative analysis of the frequency of illnesses among athletes and practically healthy non-active students was conducted, leading to a clear conclusion about the importance of physical activity in maintaining and enhancing optimal health. The effectiveness of the process of forming professionally applied physical culture and the dynamics of the development of its main components among learners have been assessed.
