The purpose of the study is to identify the key aspects of the role of physical culture in maintaining health and prolonging active longevity among youth. Research methods: literature review, comparison of scientific studies, and student surveys. Research results. The analysis of the survey of students from the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov aged 16 to 24 years showed a good level of awareness among students regarding the principles of a healthy lifestyle. The majority of survey participants prefer engaging in physical culture over other forms of physical activity. Conclusions. Physical culture activities strengthen health and contribute to the alleviation of emotional tension, positively influencing mental state, developing willpower, persistence, and a sense of responsibility. Mental and physical well-being creates the foundation for establishing a sustainable healthy lifestyle, making physical culture an important component of personal and public health.
