The effectiveness of students maintaining a self-monitoring diary during physical activity

Abstract (English):
The article is dedicated to a pressing issue of contemporary relevance, arising within the higher education system of the Russian Federation, specifically the physical activity of student youth. The purpose of the study – to determine the methods of modern independent monitoring of physical activity carried out by students, as well as to analyze the effectiveness of maintaining an electronic diary for independent monitoring during physical exercise classes. Research methods and organization: pedagogical experiments, surveys, methods of comparison, analysis, generalization, structural synthesis of the obtained information, random sampling. Research results and conclusions. The study substantiates the significance of independent physical activity among 21st-century students and identifies methods for monitoring physical education and health activities through the use of a self-monitoring diary. The authors conducted an analysis of a set of exercises aimed at improving physical and psychological well-being, as well as developing motor skills. Special attention was given to the issue of hypodynamia in the modern young generation, identifying the causes of this disorder, its characteristics, and preventive measures. As a result of the conducted research, the authors reached well-founded conclusions that outlined the prospects for independent monitoring of physical activity among the student youth.
