Educational aspects of teaching human anatomy at P.F. Lesgaft University
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The purpose of the study – to analyze the mastery of the educational topics of the module "Anatomy of the Systems of Support and Regulation of the Vital Activity of the Organism" by students studying human anatomy at the Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health, St. Petersburg. Research methods and organization: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, the method of natural group pedagogical experiment to identify problems arising during students' mastery of the educational topics of the module "Anatomy of the Systems of Support and Regulation of the Vital Activity of the Organism," methods of mathematical processing of the obtained data. Research results and conclusions. The conducted research has shown that students possess weak knowledge on the subject "Central Nervous System," which is fundamental for understanding other topics within the section "Nervous System." This educational material is complex to master and requires memorization of a large volume of information and a good understanding of anatomical preparations to comprehend the interrelation of nerve structures. More attention should be given to the knowledge of anatomical preparations and conduction pathways during practical classes, which will simplify the understanding of the morphological foundations of the regulatory functions of the nervous system. To facilitate additional review of the educational material, it is suggested to change the topic of the control work and to conduct a control work at the end of the semester on the blood supply and innervation of skeletal muscles and internal organs, which will allow students to further review the educational material of the module "Anatomy of Systems Providing and Regulating Human Vital Activity."
