The influence of socio-psychological aspects on the performance of student sports teams
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
Today, in the preparation of student teams in sports disciplines, socio-psychological aspects play a significant role, which greatly influences the performance of both individual athletes and the team as a whole. The assessment of communication, group cohesion, and acceptability allows for the quantitative measurement of interpersonal relationships within the group, the status of its individual members, and the identification of relationships within the collective. However, young coaches do not give due attention to these aspects. The purpose of the study is to study the socio-psychological aspects in student sports teams that influence their performance. Research methods and organization. In the course of the scientific research, methods such as the analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, surveys, observation, summarization, conversations, as well as pedagogical experimentation and mathematical statistics methods were employed. The scale of acceptability by N.B. Bakharova was used to calculate the index or cohesion coefficient of the group (collective). A total of 135 student-athletes from four universities in the Volga region participated in the study. Research results and conclusion. During the pedagogical experiment, it was established that the evaluation of players from volleyball teams regarding these aspects showed an increase in the cohesion coefficient and intra-group acceptance, despite the influx of new members into the teams. This indicates good interactions within the group, which positively affects the performance of the teams. The development of operational thinking among the players was assessed through discussions and their articulation of actions in various game situations throughout the experiment. This enabled the athletes to analyze game situations and assess the effectiveness of different tactical decisions, contributing to the enhancement of their professional skills. The authors concluded that communicative interaction among players is of crucial importance for success in team-based student sports.
