The purpose of the study is to provide a scientific rationale for the pedagogical concept of continuous physical education for citizens of pre-conscription and conscription age for service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Research methods and organization. A comparative analysis and generalization of pedagogical works on the research topic were applied; observation, testing, surveying, pedagogical experimentation, and summarizing experimental experience; methods of mathematical statistics and correlation analysis. The pedagogical experiment was conducted in general educational organizations in the Vyborg district of St. Petersburg, involving students of conscription age. Research results and conclusions. The study confirmed the effectiveness of the means of the concept of continuous physical education of a military-applied nature for the training of citizens of pre-conscription age. Statistically significant and reliable changes in the average group indicators of physical fitness and functional state of the organism were identified in the experimental group.
