The article presents a study on improving the effectiveness of measures aimed at regulating body weight in the training process of female wrestlers during the pre-competition training period. Female athletes aged 18 to 30 years participated in the pedagogical experiment. The training process of the experimental group was organized using an integrated approach to body weight regulation, the control group used a forced method of weight loss. The effectiveness of the proposed tools and methods was evaluated based on the results of comparative characteristics of indicators: the ratio of actual body weight to the weight required for the weight category, the performance indicator (Harvard step test). The performance indicators in the experimental group turned out to be higher than in the control group, which confirms the effectiveness of the proposed means and methods of weight loss.
