The article substantiates the need to use a technique based on recreational gymnastics aimed at correcting the body weight of female students with metabolic disorders. An analysis of this problem was carried out, which made it possible to develop an experimental technique and implement it. The results obtained during the experiment indicate that the use of health-improving gymnastics (Zumba dance aerobics exercises, strength-oriented exercises and stretching exercises) have a positive effect on anthropometric indicators, data on the functional state, physical fitness and psycho-emotional state of overweight female students.
