The problem of ethnic identity and its transformation is one of the urgent problems in psychology and pedagogy. The personal prerequisites in its formation are insufficiently studied. The article presents a study of the features of the relationship between self-attitude and ethnic identity. The results of the study expand the possibilities of understanding the phenomena of ethnic identity and self-attitude and can be used in psychological and pedagogical support for the formation of a positive ethnic identity of an older student.
