THE DYNAMICS OF INDICATORS OF PHYSICAL AND FUNCTIONAL PREPAREDNESS OF STUDENTS OF KUBAN STATE UNIVERSITY INVOLVED IN THE SWIMMING POOL WITH A REDUCTION IN PRACTICAL CLASSES IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION FROM TWO TO ONE PER WEEK
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article presents the results of the study of the dynamics of physical and functional fitness of I-III-year students of the main medical group of Kuban State University (KubSU), engaged in the swimming pool. For the initial level were taken the parameters of physical and functional fitness of boys and girls, obtained in May 2016, when the program of physical culture at the university included two classes per week, for the final - similar indicators recorded in May 2023, i.e. in the period of study, characterized by a reduction in practical training in physical culture to once a week. The results of the experiment indicate a decrease in the level of the considered values: if the first-year students recorded negative dynamics only in the indicators of functional fitness (and only in girls), then among students in the II and III courses this trend was also manifested in the study of physical fitness parameters (and also, to a greater extent, in girls). The experiment confirmed the opinion of many researchers that the weakest physical quality of students is endurance.
