The state educational policy of modern Russia makes high demands on the training of highly qualified specialists of various levels. Adequacy in the presence of a pronounced professional interest is a factor in improving the training of future specialists. The article presents research the multifaceted phenomenon of the professional interest of students, which is the main foundation of the professional development of the individual in pedagogical activity, has been studied. The revealed level of professional interest is a message for creating organizational and pedagogical conditions in the educational process of the university.
