Modern educational programs reflect the high requirements of society for the development of competencies of schoolchildren in the era of digitalization. In this regard, the need to search for new ways and methods of adaptation, correlated with the trend of development of the potential of the student’s personality, at different stages of education, becomes very relevant. In the article, the authors examine the features of adaptation of younger adolescents during the transition from primary school to basic general education, identify the range of specific problems that arise and ways to solve them using a specially developed program of psychological and pedagogical support for schoolchildren for the specified transition period.
