The transition to the level of higher education is a serious step for yesterday’s schoolchildren. Their social circle changes, new interests appear, new responsibilities appear, and their personal responsibility increases. At the same time, a change in life values occurs, which is a fertile period for their correction. Correction of life values can occur in different ways, one of which is the involvement of a young person in the process of sports training. The article presents a study with the participation of first-year cadets to determine the hierarchy of life values according to the methodology of G.V. Revyakina. This work examines the life values of yesterday's schoolchildren and proposes means of sports training for their correction.
