Development of physical qualities in freshmen students who started volleyball lessons
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
Building up the level of physical capabilities of modern youth should be considered one of the important issues of the society. An effective approach to its solution is the involvement of first-year students in volleyball training. The aim of the study – to trace the dynamics of physical development in freshmen boys who started regular volleyball lessons. Registration of the level of physical development was performed by testing initially and after three months of observation. In novice volleyball players at the end of the study the test results were optimized: increased the number of pull-ups on the bar, increased the number of torso raises, increased the number of push-ups from the floor, decreased the time of shuttle run and became longer jump. Physical activity in the volleyball section contributes to the effective physical development of university freshmen. For this reason, there are reasons to widely recommend volleyball classes among the bulk of freshmen.
