The purpose of the study is to identify, describe, and analyze gender differences in students' academic motivation and value-semantic sphere. Research methods: analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, diagnostic technique "Motivation for Academic Achievement of University Students" by S.A. Pakulina, questionnaire "Hierarchy of Life Values" by G.V. Rezyapkina, test of life-meaning orientations by D.A. Leontiev, methods of mathematical data processing (Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, Mann-Whitney U test, regression analysis). Research results and conclusions. The results obtained in the study indicate the presence of significant gender differences in students' learning motivation and the psychological content of the value-semantic sphere of their personality. These differences need to be taken into account when organizing the educational process at the university to ensure a high level of educational outcomes.
