The article discusses the features of physical performance and physical fitness of medical students. A comparative analysis of the dynamics of physical fitness based on test results over 5 years of study was conducted: running distances, standing long jumps, and strength exercises. An analysis of the level of physical fitness and functional reserves among students from different courses and faculties in 2019-2023 was carried out. A significant decrease in the level of physical fitness and functional reserves was observed among students during the 5-year period of study, with physical education classes held once a week.
