The article presents the possibilities of the academic subject “Mathematics” and extracurricular activities of a mathematical orientation in ensuring the patriotic education of junior schoolchildren. The authors define the concept and characterize the main components of the readiness of future teachers for the patriotic education of junior schoolchildren by means of mathematics.
