The article presents the results of using a differentiated approach to the organization of the educational and training process at the stage of initial training in wushu. It is based on the use of a set of pedagogical and physiological studies, including the assessment of the development of motor qualities and functional testing. It is shown that this made it possible to increase the level of physical fitness (according to the results of control starts), the level of statokinetic stability and reduce the degree of tension of adaptation mechanisms.
