The article discusses the methodological features of the organization of lectures in universities. The aim of the study is to review and analyze the most effective methods and forms of organizing lectures in the organization of the educational process in higher educational institutions, aimed at actively involving students in the cognitive process. The practical significance of the study lies in a detailed description of the features of the organization and conduct of such types of lectures as: dialogue lecture; problematic lecture; visualization lecture; binary lecture; lecture-provocation; lecture-press conference
