QUEST "FOLLOWING THE HISTORY OF SPORTS":PROBLEMS OF DEVELOPMENT, PEDAGOGICAL POTENTIAL

Abstract:
The use of quests in museum pedagogy has shown its worth. At the same time, this approach is rarely used in the work of sports museums. The purpose of this work is a theoretical study of the state of the issue under consideration, as well as practical development and approbation of the quest of physical culture and sports of local history. Research methods: analysis of information sources, survey of students, analysis of personal experience of physical culture and sports local history activities. Research results. In the course of the study, a higher pedagogical effectiveness of quests was shown in comparison with the traditional means of museum pedagogy. The quest “In the footsteps of the history of sports in the city of Yelets” developed by us was tested, which showed the possibility of its use within the framework of the academic discipline “Physical and sports local history of the city of Yelets”, during excursions around the sports museum with various categories of visitors (schoolchildren, athletes, citizens etc.). The approaches used in the development and implementation of this quest can be applied in other sports museums
