The article reveals the contradiction between the demand of the state and the existing concept of development of the state education system in general and the system of higher education in particular. The aim of the study is to find the optimal system of implementation of educational, sports and mass, physical culture and recreational activities in the economic university, allowing to solve the request of the state and society. The results of the study - the presented system of implementation of educational, sports and mass and physical culture and health activities in the economic university has shown its optimality, through which there was an increase in the number of students actively engaged in physical culture and sports. Conclusions. The optimally selected system of implementation of educational, sports-mass and physical culture and health-improving activities in the economic university taking into account internal and external conditions can not only increase the number of students engaged in physical culture, but also form the ability to design health-saving technologies
