It is possible to strengthen the physical characteristics of the body at any age with systematic physical exertion. This is possible, among other things, with cycling loads. They are able to develop the musculoskeletal system and activate all internal organs. Purpose of the study -assess the level of physical development of young men involved in cycling. Methodology and organization of the study. The observation was carried out on 29 healthy young men. They were divided into two groups. The observation group (15 young men) in addition to academic physical education went in for cycling three times a week for 2 hours. The control group included 14 young men who had significant physical activity only twice a week in the conditions of university physical education classes. The development of physical abilities was assessed using traditional sports tests. The data were processed statistically. Research results and discussion. Bicycle training, systematically repeated, was able to improve coordination and increase overall body stability under different conditions. Also, against their background, the parameters of physical fitness improved in young men and the accuracy of sports movements increased. Conclusions. Cycling training in adolescence increases strength, increases endurance, and increases the degree of coordination of movements performed.
