Currently, the level of physical fitness of applicants entering military universities does not fully meet the requirements. The purpose of the study is to test the effectiveness of the methodology of physical training of cadets of the universities of the Strategic Missile Forces of the first year of study based on crossfit training. Methodology and organization of the study. The methodology of physical training is implemented on the basis of using a wide variety of exercises, modes of their implementation and intensity, regulation of rest and the number of repetitions of CrossFit exercises. The main content of the physical training of cadets was aimed at the development of power and speed-strength abilities (75%). In the general structure of classes, from 14% to 16% of the time was allocated for the development of general and strength endurance, and from 11% to 14% for the development of flexibility and coordination. Results and its discussion. After the pedagogical experiment, the indicators of physical fitness among cadets from the EG became significantly higher than in the CG (p<0.05). The greatest increase in results was recorded: in push-ups on uneven bars (by 45.1%); in pull-ups on the crossbar (by 37%); in the long jump from a place with a push with two legs (15.5%). According to the data of functional diagnostics (Harvard step test and Romberg test), the final results of the cadets from the EG also significantly increased, both in comparison with the initial indicators and in comparison with the final results of those studying in the CG.
