Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to address the problem of developing attention function in young athletes aged 7–11 years specializing in dance sport, as one of the leading psychophysiological processes under the influence of training session loads. Research methods and organization. Analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature data, as well as psychophysiological diagnostic methods, were used. To determine changes in attention in young athletes aged 7–11 years before and after a training session, standardized methods were applied: “Kreplin's Counting” – attention performance; “Landolt Rings” – concentration, stability, and productivity of attention; “Houses” by Orekhova – attention switching and span. Research results and conclusions. Some psychophysiological features of young athletes aged 7–11 years specializing in dance sport were revealed in each of the age periods. The revealed changes in attention function were summarized as a result of the impact of training session loads on the central nervous level of regulation of the organism of young athletes in the age periods from 7 to 11 years. Practical recommendations for coaches and specialists involved in the training of young athletes in dance sport were presented.
