Analysis of the formation of the sensation of “muscular joy” in students after various physical activities
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
In the context of declining motor activity and increasing physical inactivity among young people, the search for internal incentives for regular physical education classes becomes relevant. One such incentive is the phenomenon of “muscular joy”: a positive psychophysiological state after adequate physical load, manifested in lightness, vigor, emotional uplift, and satisfaction with the performed work. The purpose of the study is to analyze the formation of the sensation of “muscular joy” in university students after performing various types of physical exercises, as well as to identify the factors influencing its manifestation. Research methods and organization. Analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature data were used, as well as testing, questionnaires, and mathematical data processing methods. Diagnostics were performed using a 5‑point self‑assessment scale, the SAN questionnaire, the Differential Emotions Scale by C. Izard, and the Wessman–Ricks technique. Research results and conclusions. The highest score of “muscular joy” was identified after mixed load, and the lowest – after strength load. Thus, the most pronounced and stable positive sensations are provided by mixed load with an optimal training regimen of 3–4 times per week at moderate intensity. Aerobic and mixed loads are recommended as priority for stimulating “muscular joy”.
