The article presents data on the venues of the World Cup stages in the 2006-2022 sports seasons, considers two options for planning the training process at the stage of direct preparation for the start of the summer biathlon in the 2022-2023 sports season in two groups of the Russian women's biathlon team. Sufficient training experience (-60 days a year) at competition altitudes or higher (-1500-1700 m) is required for successful performance in competitions. This approach allows you to optimize and individualize the strategy of acclimatization and preparation for the competition. The stage of direct preparation for the main starts should be at least 10-14 days, while the altitude level may differ slightly from the altitude level at the competition venue
