Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to determine the peculiarities of training representatives of the generation "Z" and to identify effective methods in teaching the subjects "Physical Education" and "Elective disciplines of physical culture and sports". The study was conducted on the basis of studying the experience of teaching the above academic disciplines in the higher education institution of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, economic and technical universities in Moscow. In the course of the study, methods of pedagogical observation, questioning, questioning, generalization and data analysis were used. Pedagogical interpretation and generalization in the course of data research allows us to formulate theoretical and practical conclusions about the sufficient effectiveness of the approaches used in solving the tasks set in the field of didactics and in educating students of the digital generation. The significance of the functioning of specially selected methods of teaching the subjects "Physical Education" "Elective disciplines in physical culture and sports" with the categories of students of the digital generation is confirmed by the fact that 93.5% of students noted their interest in studying these academic disciplines conducted in the form of gamification. 81.3% of respondents showed an improvement in mental qualities and cognitive functions
