The issues related to the training of specialists in adaptive physical culture (hereinafter referred to as AFC), despite the fact that they have been largely considered by domestic scientists for more than ten years, and at the present stage of the formation of Russian higher professional education, remain quite controversial, and, consequently, relevant and requiring attention. Contradictions between the importance and significance of the training of competent specialists in the field of AFC, their inclusion in professional work according to the direction and profile of training, on the one hand, and low quality indicators of university graduates' education, which includes such important components as the level of acquired knowledge, the level of mastering and possession of professional motor skills or competencies, the level of psychological readiness, on the other hand, actualizes the importance of finding new ways to solve the problem of providing Russian society with high-quality specialists in the field of AFC by improving the quality of the educational process of students. This publication is devoted to the definition of the most important components of the structure of professional readiness of graduates, factors determining their desire or unwillingness to choose a profession related to working with people with disabilities and persons with disabilities (hereinafter - HIA). In his article, the author, based on the analysis and generalization of scientific literature, a survey of specialists in the field of AFC and adaptive sports (hereinafter - AS), characterizes the content components of the structure that determines the quality of education of graduates in the direction 49.03.02 physical culture for people with disabilities in health, as well as factors that ensure the instability of their employment in the acquired specialty
