The article presents the results of comparing the visual (coaching) evolution and biomechanical parameters of the long jump technique with the run-up. To achieve the purpose of the study, the modeling of the long jump technique of the finalists of the World Championships in 1987, 1997, 2009 and 2017 was carried out, which became the basis for the development of the scaled information model and qualitative evolution of its parameters. With the help of the ascertaining experiment that took place during the final competitions in Men's Long Jump of the 2022 Russian Indoor Championship, the evolution of the structure of the technique, identification of technical errors of the competitive exercise from the model characteristics and written fixation of the correction verbal expressions of the coaches were carried out. As a result, an objectification of the visual evolution of the biomechanical parameters of the long jump was obtained, which in further studies will increase the level of technical training of jumpers
