The purpose of the study is to theoretically and empirically justify the effectiveness of the combined use of special applied obstacle courses and practical tasks related to solving problems involving the application of physical strength during final physical training sessions, as an effective tool for monitoring and diagnosing the level of physical fitness of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation. Research methods and organization. A variety of tools has been utilized, presented both by general scientific and specific scientific methods. Among the general scientific methods, formal-logical methods have been employed (analysis and generalization of scientific sources in the field of physical education and the organization of physical training), as well as systemic, structural, and comparative methods (comparison and systematization of teaching methods). Specific scientific methods include concrete sociological methods (surveys, interviews) and pedagogical research methods (pedagogical experiments). Research results and conclusions. The obtained data confirm the effectiveness of using complex control exercises in physical training, which involve traversing specialized applied obstacle courses while solving practical tasks related to the execution of combat grappling techniques. This is set in the context of reliable diagnostics for the police personnel being assessed, regarding their level of motor skill development and the formation of professional competence for the potential application of physical force in possible scenarios of operational-service activities.
