The purpose of the study is to study the influence of the axiological approach on the development of the professional orientation of students in the field of physical culture and sports, as well as to determine practical means and methods that contribute to the development of professional values among students. Research methods and organization. Methods of analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical experiment, surveys, and methods of mathematical statistics were used. The developed course was tested in the educational process of the Yekaterinburg Institute of Physical Culture (branch of Ural State University of Physical Culture) within the framework of the discipline "Selected Sport with Fundamentals of Training Activities." Research results and conclusions. The survey conducted after the research revealed positive changes in the value orientations of students, indicating the effectiveness of the educational process in forming readiness for professional activity and personal growth.
