Diagnosis of the emotional state of middle school children during physical education classes implemented using distance educational technologies
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The purpose of the study is to assess the dynamics of the emotional state of middle school children during physical education classes when transitioning to a distance learning format. Research methods and organization. The study conducted from September 2024 to January 2025 included the examination of the emotional state of 5th and 7th-grade students in a general education school using the 'Well-Being−Activity−Mood (WAM)' methodology (developed by Sechenov Moscow Medical Institute) and the method of standardized observation (an adapted method by W. V. Ulyenkov). A total of 41 students participated in the diagnostics, with 156 measurements conducted (79 during lessons held in the school’s auditorium and 77 during physical education classes utilizing distance learning technologies). Research results and conclusions. Based on the obtained data, a dependence of the category of emotional state - 'activity' has been noted, with a statistically significant decrease in the indicator observed. No significant differences were found in the assessment of the levels of 'well-being' and 'mood'. A discrepancy has been noted among the analyzed parameters - well-being, activity, and mood - during lessons that utilized distance educational technologies, which, in the authors' assessment of the methodology, is an undesirable factor indicating an imbalance in the emotional state of the subjects, fatigue, or tension.
